About Spring Training

Spring Training, LLC is independently owned and operated by Kelly Spring.

Kelly is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). She completed an intensive dog-training apprenticeship and graduated from the prestigious Canine Behavior & Training and Behavior Modification Internships at Peaceable Paws.

Kelly is a Professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, an OPERATION SOCIALIZATION Certified Trainer and an active member of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Positive Professional Pet Trainers. She is committed to continuing education and dedicates at least one day per month to attending conferences, workshops and other professional development activities.

Kelly began working with dogs by volunteering with local rescue groups — fostering dozens of dogs and, eventually, co-founding an all-volunteer animal rescue organization. While serving as a Director, she oversaw the care and welfare of nearly 1,000 dogs.

After many years volunteering in the DC rescue community, she decided to take her love of dogs and make it a career — and Spring Training was born!

Spring Training is committed to serving the animal rescue community — offering free behavior assessments and training to local shelters and rescue groups.

Kelly lives in Washington, DC with her rescue dogs -- Kobe, Tallula, Hooch, and Grady (and Milo & Gulliver,
the cats).
